19th Century Chinese Brush Pot

A most attractive 19th Century famille verte Kangxi style brush pot painted with a continuous scene of scholars, immortals and wildlife in an oriental landscape. This is depicted in typical green, iron red and underglazed blue enamels. A deer, symbolizing longevity, runs through the charming stylized scene. The condition is excellent, there are a few small pitted marks within the glaze, these are frequently found in such pieces. Signed on the base.
