A stained 19th Century pine church pew of small proportions with hand painted numbers to either side "14" and "82" giving the pew great decorative appeal. The original brass swing handle and tray would have been used as a stick or umbrella stand. The back is unusual in having a small fall front cupboard. The pine is very sturdy and in good condition, there are minor areas of wear and a few scratches, which only enhance the rustic nature of this antique pew. This is a piece full of character and charm and its small size makes it an easy piece to fit into a hallway or kitchen.
