19th Century Papier Mache Tray on Later Stand

A good sized 19th Century scalloped edged papier mache tray on a later separate faux bamboo stand. The black lacquered ground is an excellent foil for the beautifully painted birds and flowers, the gilt highlights are repeated on the attractive faux bamboo stand. The tray and stand are in good condition and the table stands well with no wobbles. The generous proportions of this beautifully painted Victorian tray and stand make a very useful and decorative coffee or occasional table.
