An exceptionally fine walnut circular library table, the frieze housing four locking and four dummy drawers. The tapering legs with ebony and boxwood stringing terminate on spade feet. The top of this walnut veneered table is crossbanded in yew wood and finely strung in ebony and boxwood. The centre motif, a Maltese cross, is superbly inlaid with yew wood. The colour and patina of this antique library table are superb. The table is in excellent condition, stands well and is very stable. This is a most unusual antique table of outstanding quality and craftsmanship, it would add grace and elegance to any interior.
