Rare Antique Double Sided Horse Measuring Rule

This very rare mahogany horse measuring stick by Aston and Mander is marked on one side in feet and inches and on the other in hands. It has brass fittings, including a spirit level.
The condition is very good, the measurements are clearly marked and the slide moves freely.
This antique measure would have been an essential item of equestrian equipment in the last century when it was made and is just as necessary today.
