Matched Pair of Tall Asian Carved Columns

A spectacular pair of 19th Century wooden columns stand on square bases with dragoon and leaf carving. This near pair of Asian antique columns are carved with scrolls and foliage, support plinths with decorated balls, acanthus leaves and alternating borders of flowers and trellis. These rare antique columns have traces of their original paint and retain the original fixings pegs. The condition is quite good, they stand well with no wobbles. There are minor losses and chips to the carving on the plinths, this does not detract from their appearance and if anything adds to the character of these beautiful architectural pieces. These are most unusual and decorative interior design pieces and would add drama and impact to any scheme.
