Early 18th Century Oak Gateleg Dining Table

A superb early 18th Century oak 6 seater gateleg dining table. A wonderfully solid antique table standing on beautifully turned barley sugar twist legs and stretchers. There are some historic restorations to the top, primarily strengthening supports, (as can be seen in the photographs) but these are as can be expected with a much used antique dining table that is over 300 years old. This is a substantial and sturdy good English dining table with a rich colour and patination. A useful table that looks good with the leaves up as a full sized table ,or a space saving table with the leaves down. The perfect country piece to add character to any kitchen or dining room.
