Early 18th Century Rush Light Holder on Rustic Wooden Base
A delightful early 18th Century wrought iron rush nip on a well grained and patinated distressed base. This early Georgian rush light holder has an attractive turned stem and the facility to take a candle. The metal in this antique rush light holder is very solidly fixed in the base. This piece shows evidence of regular use over its long life and the lovely well worn condition of the base adds to the rustic charm of this early example of domestic lighting.
