19th Century Mahogany Artists Easel by Vokins
A fine 19th Century mahogany folding artists easel with brass adjusting mechanism. This superb antique artists easel was made by J & W Vokins, the Vokins family were makers of picture frame and artist materials and supplied many renowned artists from the late 18th Century, they also supplied Queen Victoria and The Prince of Wales. The provenance is reflected in the excellent quality of this easel which would be an elegant means of displaying an important artwork in any home or gallery. This fabulous antique mahogany easel is in really lovely original condition, the brass adjustment mechanism is strong and works well, as does the folding action. The mahogany frame is a lovely colour. A really wonderful and highly sought after antique easel.
