George III Mahogany Tilt Top Breakfast/Centre Table

A very high quality George III Cuban mahogany tilt top breakfast table raised on a gun barrel pedestal and elegant tripod base. The one piece top is beautifully grained and has the colour and patina that is acquired over many years. This 18th Century table retains its original tilting mechanism and catch and is in good condition, standing evenly and firmly. There is a historic repair to one leg, this is not detrimental to the appearance of the table and is not easy to see. The table has an excellent provenance, originally in the collection of the late Captain Black of Prees Hall,Shropshire and for the past 50 years in another private collection.
