Georgian Blue & White Chestnut Basket
A most attractive blue and white chestnut or desert basket dating from the early part of the 19th Century. This fine antique blue and white ceramic basket has elegant loop handles and is decorated with a floral, foliage and scroll pattern in a good vibrant blue. There is evidence of some early restoration, a tiny chip inside the fretwork and a hairline crack to the base. These are shown in the photographs, but do not detract from the beauty of this very pretty antique chestnut basket. A charming and highly decorative example of the elegance and fashion of the early 19th Century that is timeless.
