Georgian Cast Iron & Brass Minature Fire Surround

Dating from the early 19th Century, this cast iron and brass fire surround was probably a salesman's sample. Depicting a fireplace in the classical style, this fire surround is decorated with acorns and oak leaves to the sides and the royal coat of arms to the pediment. The fireback is cast with a large Tudor rose, obviously promoting a very patriotic theme. This antique cast iron surround is mounted on a wooden stepped base. The condition is good, making this antique cast iron model an unusual and decorative display feature.
