Georgian Oak Blanket Box
A good Georgian oak blanket box/chest with interior candle box and brass escutcheon plate. Raised on bracket feet, this well proportioned antique box is a very versatile piece and the simple design makes it perfect to fit into a traditional or contemporary home . The condition of this English oak chest is good with a very clean interior. There is a minor historic blemish to the front lower side of this Georgian box which is compatible with age and use, (please see the photographs) this merely adds to the character and charm. The box is sturdy and has the most wonderful rich colour and patina. A delightful country oak blanket box/chest with good neat proportions, ideal to use as a coffee table, or as additional storage anywhere in the home.
