Jennens & Bettridge Papier Mache Pedestal Table
A beautiful Victorian papier mache tilt top pedestal table by the renowned 19th Century maker, Jennens and Bettridge. The top of this elegant antique table is decorated with a well painted floral bouquet and surrounded by a border of gold trailing leaves to the outer rim. The well shaped pedestal and tri-footed base are decorated in the same manner as the rim. An extremely pretty table, typical of the high quality workmanship of this much sought after maker. The overall condition is good, the table stands well with no wobbles and the original tilt mechanism is secure. There is evidence of some historic restoration to the rim, as can be seen in the photographs and some areas of minor wear to the surface decoration. This is a fabulous and very decorative antique table that would look stunning in any interior.
