A superb Meiji period Japanese porcelain stick stand of cylindrical form painted with trees, blossoms and a dramatic exotic bird in red and underglaze blue with gilt highlights. This stunning scene is set within scrolled and floral borders in underglazed blue. The condition of this antique Meiji stick stand is excellent, it stands evenly on the base and is very stable. With traditional oriental decoration in strong vibrant colours, this superb stick stand would be a dramatic decorative addition to any interior. (Sticks not included)
