Pair of 19th Century Rogers Blue & White Plates

A very desirable pair of early 19th Century blue and white 'elephant' pattern plates by John Rogers & Son. This beautiful pair of blue and white Staffordshire plates date from the early 19th Century, they have the sought after elephant pattern set in an oriental garden with flowers and trees. The picture is framed with stringing which separates it from the border of flowers and dark leaves, this stringing is repeated on the outer rim. The condition of these plates is very good, both bear the Rogers imprest mark to the back. If used as display items, this pair of 19th Century blue and white Staffordshire plates would be a striking and decorative focal point, they would also make a wonderful addition to any blue and white collection.
