Pair of Regency Giltwood Wall Sconces
An exquisite pair of Irish country house carved giltwood sconces. This unusual pair of Regency wall sconces are crested with an eagle with spread wings, the columns are decorated with carved acanthus leaves and lion masks and terminate with a delicate spray of flowers in the Regency manner. Each antique sconce has twin branching candle sconces decorated with acanthus leaves. The condition of these early 19th Century sconces is excellent, the gilding superb and both have been previously channelled at the back to take electrical wiring if desired. A rare and stunning pair of wall sconces ready to bring Regency elegance to any interior.
