Regency Rosewood & Brass Inlaid Tea Caddy
A very impressive early 19th century rosewood tea caddy of sarcophagus form. inlaid with brass scrolling panels to the front and hinged cover. This cover lifts to reveal twin boxes with hinged brass inlaid lids and a glass mixing bowl. The tea boxes retain the original zinc linings.
The beautifully grained rosewood is highlighted by the rich colour and patination. The caddy stands on turned and tapering feet.
A superb example of Regency style, elegance and gracious living and a great piece to display or add to a collection.
