Two 18th Century Oak Lorraine Chairs
Two very similar oak French country chairs with reeded stretchers, finely turned front rails, raised on block and turned legs. The seats in beautifully grained oak have chamfered front corners. The colour and patina are excellent and the chairs are in good, untouched condition. There is evidence of very minor historic woodworm, long dead, but treated again for peace of mind. These antique Lorraine chairs are not identical but similar enough to sit together in an entrance hall or in any period setting.
