Victorian Kelim Covered Stool

A large antique walnut footstool in the manner of Gillows. This superb footstool stands on twisted turned legs which terminate with the original Cope and Collinson porcelain and brass casters. These patent casters were used by Gillows and high quality nineteen century furniture makers. The stool has been professionally reupholstered with a fabulous antique kilim in warm tones. This elegant and generously sized 19th century footstool is in excellent condition and ready to use in the sitting room as a coffee table, extra seating or at the end of a bed.
