Victorian Serpentine Papier Mache Tea Caddy
This antique serpentine front tea papier mache caddy is beautifully decorated with painted flowers, exotic birds and gilding and stands on original shaped feet. The lid lifts to reveal twin lidded compartments. The condition of this 19th Century tea caddy is good, as shown in the photographs there are a couple of small nibbles to the front corner, these are to be expected on an item that has been in use for almost 150 years. The quality of the decoration is excellent and typical of the Victorian period. A really beautiful piece that would make a delightful display item.
